PVC board resin is actually a vinyl polymer. Simply put, the aqueous solution of salt will react chemically in its present action. This process produces chlorine, caustic soda and hydrogen. The refining and cracking of petroleum or gasoline can produce ethylene.

When chlorine and ethylene are mixed, c2h2cl2 will be produced; C2h2cl2 can be converted to chlorinated vinyl, which is the basic component of PVC. During polymerization, chlorinated vinyl molecules are linked together to form PVC chains. The PVC produced in this way is white powder. It cannot be used alone, but it can be mixed with other ingredients to produce many products.

PVC board has the outstanding advantages of rich raw materials (petroleum, limestone, coke, salt and gas), mature production technology, low price and wide application. It has become the second largest general resin in the world, second only to polyethylene resin, accounting for 29% of the total consumption of synthetic resin in the world. PVC is easy to process and can be processed by molding, laminating, injection molding, extrusion molding, calendering, blow molding, etc. PVC is mainly used to produce soft plastic products such as artificial leather, film and wire sheath, as well as hard plastic products such as plates, doors and windows, pipes and valves.

PVC board has the advantages of flame retardancy (over 40), high chemical resistance (concentrated HCl, 90 sulfuric acid, 60 nitric acid, 20naoh), good mechanical strength, good electrical insulation, etc. However, its heat resistance is poor. The soft spot is 80130 and begins to change color, resulting in HCI precipitation.
